Leading social purpose organisation, Good Return, invited investors to join its second Impact Investment Fund, to enable marginalised female entrepreneurs across the Asia-Pacific region to succeed.
The fund built on the success of Good Return’s award-winning inaugural fund that launched in 2020 and was capped at $1 million. In partnership with three local financial service providers, it provided $5.05 million in loans to more than 600 entrepreneurs across Indonesia and Cambodia and met financial return targets, providing investors with a return on par with cash deposit rates at Australian banks.
With 1 billion women worldwide having no access to financial services, it tackled the barriers many women-led businesses face when trying to grow their entities and improve their livelihoods, with 90% of the loans provided to women.
